Tips To Buy Auto Detailing Equipment

The three types of most commonly used auto detailing equipment are pressure washers, carpet cleaners, and steam cleaners. Each of these machines has a different type of functionality when it comes to automobile cleaning. Pressure washers are more suitable for cleaning hard exterior parts of the vehicle, while carpet cleaners are better suited for cleaning the soft interior surfaces. The following are some general tips to consider when preparing to buy each kind of auto detailing equipment.

Pressure Washes
These are powerful cleaning machines capable of providing a high output pressure, with some models from Daimer® allowing up to 8000 psi. For vehicle cleaning, though, such extreme output pressure levels are not required. In fact, pressure washers with an output pressure level higher than 1500 psi should not be used as auto detailing equipment. Machines with higher pressure levels might damage the metal body of the vehicle by causing dents and paint chipping. In addition, look for a low flow rate to help conserve water and reduce EPA fines for waste water disposal.

Carpet Cleaners
Carpet cleaners in Daimer®’s XTreme Power® series are also widely used as auto detailing equipment, especially for cleaning vehicle interiors. It is better to use machines that feature low flow technology, as such machines will ensure the vehicles dry quickly, often in as little as two hours. In addition, one must use specialized carpet and upholstery wands for cleaning.

Steam Cleaners
Modern steam cleaners are equipped with various technologies, such as ATIS® Anti-Bacterial Technology and automatic refill technology that make the cleaning process easier and quicker.
